A Federal Judge Deals A Blow To The Tyrannical New Mexico Governor
Judge Jeanine Pirro brilliantly laid out how the New Mexico Governor was completely wrong to try to suspend the 2nd Amendment.
GALLAGHER: Here was Judge Jeanine Pirro with Pete Hegseth this morning talking about this insane attempt by the New Mexico governor to take away the Second Amendment constitutional right to carry in New Mexico.
PIRRO: She was asked this governor was asked, do you think this will stop people with illegal guns? She said, no. And there is no point, you know, if she really wanted to fight crime, she could start getting rid of the cashless veil. She might consider, you know, upping or amping up police departments, making sure that they start closing cases, issuing arrest warrants, do sting operations on gun sales. I mean, there’s a million things she could do. But the arrogance and by the way, as soon as she said it, her own attorney general said that’s unconstitutional. I’m not going to defend you. And the judge who says this is unconstitutional was appointed by Biden. So I don’t know. She’s just trying to up her profile. You know, you know, I’m a female governor. Maybe you want to think about me. And the party starts moving away from Joe Biden, which I think is is starting to be kind of a given given David Ignatius column the other day. But it is it’s a sad commentary on the left totalitarian kind of thinking that we’re going to suspend the constitution on a public health emergency. You can’t. You won’t. And that’s the end of it.
GALLAGHER: Well, she’s right, of course. And here’s some good news yesterday. A federal judge has blocked the ban on carrying guns in New Mexico’s largest city. U.S. District Court Judge David Urias said the governors suspension is absolutely unconstitutional. The judge said and this was a judge appointed by Biden. They just want the right to carry their guns. And he has suspended that. So, you know, good news for a change and to see this lunatic decision by a New Mexico governor. Good to see pushback. And I have to give credit to a number of Democrats who pushed back as well. Good for them. The Constitution should be nonpartisan.
