Chris Christie Calls Trump A Coward On Television
Chris Christie apparently believes that Trump has no guts because he isn’t participating in the GOP debates.
GALLAGHER: Listen to Chris Christie and how he is on the offensive with Trump. Now he’s on CNN because CNN loves Chris Christie. Since Chris Christie despises Trump Now, interestingly, Chris Christie didn’t used to despise Trump. In fact, he used to be one and an adviser and a supporter. In fact, as I remember, he helped Trump practice for the debates in 2016. But now Chris Christie wants to be president, which leads him to go on CNN and say something like this.
CHRISTIE: We are going to take on Donald Trump directly and he doesn’t like it when he’s taking it on directly. And he’s confronted I’m the only one on that stage who’s unwilling to raise my hand besides Hutchinson and say I wouldn’t support a convicted felon for president of the United States. He doesn’t like what people stand up to him and call him out on the nonsense that he’s involved in. And I guess he had a bad night yesterday. Maybe it’s some bad Chinese food or something Wolf. Well, 1139, a little indigestion decided to attack me. Keep it coming, Donald. And by the way, if he had any guts, he’d get on the debate stage. And he’s got things to say about me. Stop hiding behind your social media site, your failed social media site, Donald, and start taking me on directly. Show up. Stop being a coward.
GALLAGHER: And he turned to look into the camera for emphasis, which makes it even more glorious from a comedic point of view. Is that not the funniest thing you’ve ever heard? As if nobody has ever taken on Donald Trump directly? No, no. He’s never been challenged by anybody in the media. He’s he’s never. He’s never been taken on, I would think, trying to lock him up in prison is an act of taking him on directly. Chris Christie, you say nobody takes Trump on directly except me. And Asa Hutchinson, what what what an what an army that is. Chris Christie and Asa Hutchinson, they’re the two warriors willing to challenge Donald Trump. You know, Christie’s a little cocky because he’s doing pretty well in New Hampshire, I guess. And I don’t know what that means. Maybe you think he’s got the juice. You think he’s got the oomph? You think he’s got the it factor? How hysterical do you find it? Do you find it as laugh out loud funny as I do, that people like Chris Christie are calling Trump a coward because he won’t debate. Listen, everybody would love to see Trump on that debate stage. I saw a poll this morning that said about 70% of Americans would prefer that Trump was on the debate stage. Well, of course, we want him on the debate stage because it will make for a knockdown, drag out. It’ll be great TV, Get out the popcorn and watch Randy Macho Man Savage go after Donald. You know the Donald in the WWE. Round three. Give me a break. Chris Christie is is not going to be the Republican nominee for president. I’ve told you I’ll support whoever it is. Dear Lord, please, God in heaven, above, Don’t don’t let the tides turn. And it be that guy. Or Asa Hutchinson. What about Doug Burgum? Where’s he been? Are you kidding me? With. With these attacks from Chris Christie? I mean, honest to goodness, it’s actually good medicine for me because it cracks me up to listen to Chris Christie called Donald Trump a coward. He’s got about 100 point lead over you, big guy. You really think that he’s afraid of you?
