Do You Think Charging The Marine Veteran Who Had A Chokehold On Jordan Neely Is Pro-Criminal?
Fox News host Greg Gutfeld stated that he believes charging Marine Daniel Penny with manslaughter is being pro criminal and anti-hero.
GALLAGHER: We’ve been talking about Daniel Penny. The marine who surrendered to authorities this morning in the fatal chokehold of the repeat criminal offender Jordan Neely. I believe that he does deserve a trial. In fact, a trial is the only way he can be exonerated. I know it is New York. I know it is goofy Alvin Bragg, the prosecutor. I know all the stuff you are telling me. However, if you put someone in a chokehold for 3 minutes and they die, chances are that they are going to have to go through the justice system. You will have to go through a trial. You can’t just say oh no. As reprehensible as the behavior was of Jordan Neely, he was a human being who died. I will tell you, when it comes to New York, I get the belief that he won’t get a free trial in New York. Even New Yorkers on the Left understand the disastrous crime that is underway in NYC. Here was Greg Gutfeld yesterday on the Five talking about the arrest of the marine.
GUTFELD: This is political. Pro-criminal. Antihero. It will be the case of the summer or whatever happens. This is going to be a very important point for this city, state, country. It’s time for us to get this progressive pro-crime ideology to walk the plank. I am a hermit, right? People know that. I don’t do anything. I had four friends of mine victims of crime this month. One major break-in, one a violent attack on the subway when he was intervening. The homeless guy was threatening people. He told the guy to knock it off and he was attacked. A couple people that I won’t bring up. Indecent exposure this morning. We might have all heard about that. I had my life threatened. About three weeks ago. I didn’t talk about it. These are all anecdotal stories that are actually the mosaic that becomes statistics. So you can sit there and say oh, my god. What he did. You don’t know how you would react. Everybody has to face the fact this could happen to them. You could be in this marine’s shoes. You know what, those shoes right now belong to a hero.
GALLAGHER: I agree with him. I believe the marine is a hero too and I want him to be exonerated in a court of law.
