Does The Abortion Issue Help Democrats Win Elections?
The Wisconsin Supreme Court flips to having a liberal majority in a race spotlighting abortion.
GALLAGHER: When I had Republican women call this show and say you were going to vote for Democrats because you’re appalled at the right to an abortion being taken from women. And I don’t know, I don’t know how to reconcile that. That’s a tough issue. I am I’m struggling with that. I’m struggling with it because you got to stand up for what’s right and the sanctity of life is Christian and Holy and just. You must do the right thing. I had a friend give me some analysis on this. We have to always strive to do the right thing, but sometimes pragmatism has to enter into the equation. Somebody a friend of mine, who I adore, one of my closest friends in the world said to me, so what if we lose the White House or Congress, God will prevail. He’s in control. We must trust and not waiver. You do the right thing. Well I would respectfully say losing every election is a big deal. If you wanna protect the rights of the unborn, but we cede all the local, state, and federal elections we’re going to lose, and while I admire the nobleness of saying, you do the right thing and you air on or are you you fall down on the side of protecting life, tell that now to all the babies in Wisconsin that are going to be killed because now this is Janet Protasiewicz, or however you pronounce her last name, a radical leftist judge is now making the Wisconsin Supreme Court the majority.
