Everybody That Plans On Protesting Ought To Do So Peacefully All The Time

Share

Mike encourages everyone who plans to protest the Trump indictment or anything else to do so peacefully.

GALLAGHER: I would absolutely urge every single person who would consider protesting to do it 100% peacefully. Don’t give them what they want. They want some violence. They want some vandalism. Don’t get set up. You better think twice if you go to a protest in a blue city. Be real careful before you do that, but I guarantee they’ll be a bunch of people willing to take to the streets. Mike Pence who has turned into a big Trump critic over the events of January 6th. He’s defending Trump. Here was his former Vice President talking to reporters yesterday.

PENCE: Look the American people have every right to peaceably assembly. And, let their voice be heard, and this is extremely important. The people have a right to express themselves and express the frustration that they feel to see a liberal Manhattan DA poised to indict a former President of the United States, but that being said, there can be no tolerance for the kind of violence that we saw on January 6th or throughout the summer of 2020.

GALLAGHER: Pence is pitch perfect on this. There’s no tolerance for violence whether you’re burning down a building because a black man was killed by a cop or you’re breaking Capitol windows because you’re upset about Biden winning the election. There is absolutely no margin for mistake here but I guarantee you people are going to protest. For some reason there are Republicans who don’t seem to have a stomach for that. Here is House Speaker Kevin McCarthy reacting to and again and it all started with Trump saying he expects to be indicted on Tuesday tomorrow over the Stormy Daniels $130,000 payment. It is a misdemeanor on the state level. Evidently, they’re going to try to jin it up to a federal charge, as a felony as a campaign finance violation of some kind. It is tangled, unproven, an unproven theory. It is bogus like the CNN analyst said it’s real flimsy but hey, it’s Trump. It’s Trump. Here is Kevin McCarthy pushing back against the idea of protesting Trump’s perhaps imminent arrest.

MCCARTHY: I don’t think people should protest this, no. And I think President Trump, if you talk to him, he doesn’t believe that either. I mean, I think the thing that you may misinterpret when President Trump talks — when someone says that they can protest, he would probably be referring to my tweet. Educate people about what’s going on. He’s not talking in a harmful way. And nobody should. Nobody should harm one another in this. And this is why you should really make law equal, because if that was the case, nothing would happen here. And that is what has to transpire.
