Former House Speaker John Boehner literally cried as he told Nancy Pelosi that his daughters admire her.

GALLAGHER: I am in no position to tease John Boehner, but I can’t help myself because I am mystified. What would cause him to weep like this? This is John Boehner. Now, as the outgoing Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi I guess gets a portrait. It is this gigantic oil painting of her of it looks like from 10 years ago. For some reason, John Boehner was invited to attend as former Speaker. He is up there and he becomes inexplicably emotional.

BOEHNER: And Madam Speaker, I have to say, my girls told me, ‘Tell the Speaker how much we admire her. If you couldn’t tell, my girls are Democrats.

GALLAGHER: I mean, they even show Nancy Pelosi looking at her husband. She looks stunned. Everybody is stunned. Again, what would cause anybody to be that emotional? I get that emotional people do emotional things. You want to take a shot at it? You want to take a stab at what in the world is going through John Boehner’s mind? I hate to be mean spirited here. Again, I am mindful I don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings here. I am not making fun of alcoholism or drug abuse.
