How Do We Make Sense Of The Evil That Surrounds Us In America?
Mike shares the story of the FedEx driver who allegedly kidnapped and murdered a 7 year old girl.
GALLAGHER: Why does evil exist? Why and how does wickedness happen? Maybe with some answers. Over the weekend on Fox News Channel, Eric Shawn interviewed Former FBI Special Agent Jonathan Gilliam talking about the murder of this little beautiful girl in Boyde, Texas. Listen to this exchange that maybe sheds some light on why these acts of evil or at least how it occurs anyway.
SHAWN: When they hear that little athena is suddenly missing. Her stepmother is making dinner and she at some point when outside of their front yard. Where she had an interaction with this fedex driver. Do we know any information about that? Details on that, why this time went by before the stepmother realized that the little girl was gone?
GILLIAM: I saw one report that they had had a little bit of an argument. Her and the 7-year-old. She left out of the house. That happens every day all day around the country and the world. Unfortunately, this predator was outside waiting. I would suspect that when they look into this one of two things probably happened. The fedex driver drove by and saw her and took a target of opportunity or he was there earlier or around that area before and picked up on this young girl. There is a possibility that that occurred. We have seen that in the past with these types of predators. Interestingly enough, when I was looking at the fedex page a minute ago, what it takes to become a contractor there, there are some hoops they have to jump through. One of the things that surprised me is if you have a felony or any other record or you are on probation or parole, they are okay with that as long as it’s been a year since those things past. That is very interesting to me. In this country, if you have done something and you are a felon, you probably have a record of doing things and as we have seen from this report from this other individual, this person had a history potentially most likely of doing these violent things.
GALLAGHER: Lot of insight from that former FBI agent. If the death penalty exists in Texas, and it does, and this guy doesn’t get the death penalty, nobody should.
