Don’t be fooled by the folks on the Left claiming that Hunter Biden’s indictment is a rarity and that he is being treated unfairly.

GALLAGHER: How about the hypocrisy of Hunter Biden being charged yesterday with these federal offenses? Apparently, he got a gun he applied for and obtained a gun and lied about being a drug addict, which is a felony. Now, they’re now all looking at each other and saying, oh, look how great we are. They’re strutting around the Senate. Listen to this guy named Jamal Simmons. Jamal Simmons is a CNN political contributor, talking to Kaitlan Collins yesterday and pointing out it wasn’t the Trump Justice Department that in that indicted that finally indicted Hunter Biden. It was the Biden Justice Department that indicted Hunter Biden.

SIMMONS: There the very fact these charges are brought against Hunter Biden undercuts a pretty big point the Republicans have been trying to make and former president’s been trying to make that a two tiered justice system. What we have, we stripped away all the all the wrapping here is Donald Trump. Justice Department did not file any charges against Joe Biden or his family. The Biden Justice Department did file charges against Joe Biden’s family. So the idea there’s a two tiered justice system is just thrown out on his face. When you see the Biden Justice Department going after the president’s son.

GALLAGHER: There it is. That’s what that’s what they’re going to hang their hats on. See, look how good we are. Look, look, no one’s above the rule of law. There’s not a two tiered justice system. We’re charging Hunter Biden with with felony counts for lying on a gun form. Here is Jesse Waters yesterday on Fox News detailing the charges.

WATTERS: Fox News alert. The president’s son, Hunter Biden, has been indicted on gun charges. A Cobra 38 special was illegally purchased, then dumped in a dumpster next to a school. It was lost and the Bidens blamed an illegal alien. Count one, lying on a gun form. He said he wasn’t addicted when he was count two, making false statements to a gun dealer again, lying about his drug addiction and counts three for owning a firearm while on drugs. Hunter is facing a maximum prison sentence of 25 years and a three quarter million dollar fine. Democrats have run on gun control for decades. And now that Hunter Biden’s been charged with gun crimes, Democrats don’t care as long as it doesn’t hurt Biden’s reelection.

GALLAGHER: Oh, Jesse, you fell for it. No one thinks Hunter Biden is going to get a month in jail. They’re going to slap him on the wrist. There’s not going to be. You think the Biden Justice Department is going to walk away with Hunter Biden being incarcerated? Sure. They want to lock Donald Trump up for the rest of his life, but they’re not going to touch Hunter Biden like that. CNN contributor said this is only intended to present the the the image of the Biden Justice Department doing something about Hunter Biden’s crimes. And unfortunately, that leftist commentary commentator on CNN is correct. The Trump administration didn’t charge Hunter Biden has been going on. This has been going on for years. This is not a month in the making. This goes back six years. These crimes stemmed from something he did in I think it was either 2018 or 2019. Trump’s administration didn’t do anything about it. And in fact, this special counsel prosecutor, whatever the guy, whatever the guy’s title is. He’s a Trump appointee. Give me a break. This is all theater. This is all smoke and mirrors designed to give the Biden family cover and to give the Biden administration cover. I already saw the legal commentators weighing in last night, Dan Abrams over on ABC World News Tonight.This is very unusual. There was no crime committed. There wasn’t any act of violence. It’s only a single count on a single gun. This is very rare. Oh, this is so rare. It’s unusual, you know, suggesting that it’s only politically motivated by the Republicans. I mean, here’s Dan Goldman. Check this guy out. Here’s the former assistant U.S. attorney with Anderson Cooper. And they’re all wringing their hands over there at CNN, pointing out this is so rare and so, so obscure. They’re already shutting it out. They’re already telling us that Hunter Biden isn’t going to go to jail for this. It’s a big fat game. It’s a joke. Here’s Dan Goldman, the former assistant U.S. attorney on CNN last night.

GOLDMAN: They are. I’ve never heard of this charge being brought. I understand it is occasionally brought here and there, but in the discretion. You know, I was in the southern district of New York. We we looked for felons who were in possession of guns. We did not look for people who were subject to substance abuse for 11 days in the possession of a gun. So this is unusual. And when you hear of the two tiered justice system, I would argue that Hunter Biden is getting worse of the worst of it because his last name is Biden, not the other way around.

GALLAGHER: So are you paying attention? Are you are you paying attention yet? Oh, we at the U.S. attorney’s office, we didn’t normally be in charge somebody. It was just 11 days of substance abuse. As if Hunter Biden has been a drug addict for a grand total of 11 days. That’s what that guy is suggesting.
