John Durham Testifies That The FBI Ignored Hillary Clinton Plan To Link Trump To Russia
Special counsel John Durham told Jim Jordan that the FBI ignored Hillary Clinton’s plan to accuse Trump of Russian collusion in the 2016 election.
GALLAGHER: This is from yesterday’s Durham testimony before the House judiciary committee. Check out this exchange between Durham and Congressman Jim Jordan.
Jordan: “Mr. Durham, in the summer of 2016 did our government receive intelligence that suggested Secretary Clinton had approved a plan to tie President Trump to Russia?”
Durham: “Yes.”
Jordan: “Was that intelligence important enough for Director Brennan to go brief the president of the United States, the vice president of the United States, the attorney general of the United States and the director of the FBI?”
Durham: “Yes.”
Jordan: “And was that intelligence put then into a memorandum, a referral memorandum?”
Durham: “Yes.”
Jordan: “And was that memorandum then given to Director Comey and Agent Strzok?”
Durham: “That’s who was addressed to. Yes.”
Jordan: “Did Director Comey share that memorandum with the FISA court?”
Durham: “I’m — I’m sorry, can you —”
Jordan: “Did he share that memorandum with the FISA court? Did Director Comey do that?”
Durham: “I’m not aware of if he did.”
Jordan: “Did he share it with the — with the lawyers preparing the FISA application?”
Durham: “Not to my knowledge.”
Jordan: “Did he share it with the agents on the case, working the Crossfire Hurricane case?”
Durham: “No.”
Jordan: “Didn’t share with the agents on the case. Can you tell the committee what happened when you took that referral memo and shared it with one of those agents, specifically Supervisory Special Agent Number One?”
Durham: “We interviewed the first supervisor of the Crossfire Investigation, the operational person. We showed him the intelligence information. He indicated he’d never seen it before. He immediately became emotional, got up and left the room with his lawyer, spent some time in the hallway and came back.”
Jordan: “He was ticked off, wasn’t he?”
Durham: “Yes.
Jordan: “He was ticked off, because this is something he should have had as an agent on the case. It is important information that the director of the FBI kept from the people doing the investigation.”
Durham: “The information was kept from him.”
GALLAGHER: Now, what are the Democrats saying? I know a lot of people don’t want to hear with Democrats are saying on CNN but you need to hear what our political opponents are saying. You must know what they are capable of. Adam Schiff knows no boundaries. He goes as low as he needs to go. He goes running to his buddy Anderson Cooper. There is nothing softer than a softball interview between Anderson Cooper and Adam Schiff. This is what that scoundrel is saying on TV.
COOPER: “Do you have any regrets on how you handled the Russia issue? Obviously, the former president was never criminally implicated for anything involving Russia.
SCHIFF: “No, not at all. I think the investigation of his misconduct was very important. It ultimately led to his impeachment, which I was proud to lead, and it led to the first bipartisan vote to remove a president in U.S. history. I was also proud to serve on the January 6th Committee, and I would do all of that again. And I would do it the same way. But what is really the gravamen of the offense here is they feel I was effective at holding him to account. And if the need were to arise again, and God help us if it does, I would do it all over again.”
