The Buffalo Bills and the Cincinnati Bengals both prayed for Damar Hamlin after he collapsed on the field.

CALLER THOMAS: Thank you for taking the call. I will say that watching all these teammates take a knee in prayer. They didn’t take a knee to complain about law enforcement or to complain about this nation or inequality. They got on their knees and said God please protect our teammate. I think this is maybe something that God did. I hope I get through this. I am moved. I will start watching the NFL now because they did what this nation was founded on. They turned to God to reach out and say protect us. This might be part of God’s plan to say hey America, this is what you were founded on. This is what the Founding Fathers said when they said that your inalienable rights are granted to you by a creator. You have the right to worship and I can go on and on.

GALLAGHER: Thank you Thomas. You are so right. It was a beautiful moment in the middle of a tragedy to see this expression of faith. You are right. Maybe it was a moment ordained by God to say lets remember we are a faith filled nation. We are a country that prays. We are a country that worships. We are a country that loves the Lord. A whole lot of those athletes last night did not miss a beat. They were on their knees. Both teams with one another. Football didn’t matter. What mattered was the health and recovery of 24 year old Damar Hamlin.
