NYC Mayor Eric Adams Switches His Tune On Illegal Migrants
NYC Mayor Eric Adams completely did a 180 on the issue of illegal migrants living in the city.
GALLAGHER: It’s unbelievable. The mayor of New York is now ranting and raving about illegals destroying the city. It wasn’t all that long ago that that same mayor was bragging about how illegals are great for the city. I listen to this now. I played for you this week the clip of Mayor Eric Adams of New York saying that migrants are the migrant problem is going to destroy New York. They’re going to is going to be completely upended, because right now it is it looks like a crazy movie. Men, women and children in the streets of Manhattan selling fruit, riding bikes. It’s it’s insane. More on that in just a moment, because I whipped out my iPhone yesterday and took some video for you. I want to show you what it looked like at 3:30 in the afternoon on Eighth Avenue in New York City, outside a luxury hotel that has been assigned to thousands of illegals. They’re putting illegals there housing illegals here in New York in luxury hotels for free. This is the craziest thing that I think Democrats have stuck us with. And make no mistake, this is the Democrats fault. And if you don’t believe me, let me take you back to June 16th of 2021. Listen to what Mayor Eric Adams said about illegals when you think about it.
ADAMS: The days are spent without essential employees. A substantial number of them were undocumented. They were delivering our Uber eats. They were stuck in our stores. They were out in the streets keeping our city running. We have to expand NYC care to make sure everyone has health care. We need to make sure we have proper translation services in our schools.
GALLAGHER: Yes, we got to keep migrants, keep the city running. We got to make sure we housed them and we’ve got to give them educational opportunities. We’ve got to. We’ve got to feed them. We’ve got to give them city services. Oh, how his tune has changed. That was Air Eric Adams from June of 2021. Okay, here he is now. This is at a town hall this week on the Upper West Side of Manhattan.
ADAMS: We turned this city around in 20 months. And then what happened? Started with a mad man down in Texas. Decided he wanted to bus people up to New York City. 110,000 migrants we have to feed, clothe, house, educate the children, watch their laundry sheets, give them everything they need, health care. And this team here, we stated, let’s do everything possible before we have to push it out into neighborhoods and communities. Month after month, I stood up and I said, This is going to come to a neighborhood near you. What? We’re here. We’re here. We’re getting no support on this national crisis. And we’re receiving no support. And let me tell you something, New Yorkers never in my life have I had a problem that I did not see an end into. I don’t see an ending to this. I don’t see an ending to this. This issue will destroy New York City. Destroy New York City.
GALLAGHER: Wait a minute. Is this the same guy that we heard from in June of 2021? Adam, can we rewind? And we can we go back to June of 2021 and listen to what he was just saying in June of 2021. That isn’t that long ago. Here’s what he said in June of 2021.
ADAMS: When you think about it, the days I spent with our central employees, a substantial number of them were undocumented. They were delivered, not Uber eats. They were stuck in our stores. They were out in the streets keeping our city running.
GALLAGHER: If expand that leave, they’re going to destroy the city. Now, the city is over. Wait a minute. You were just bragging on the Mayor Adams. They’re delivering the food. They’re stocking our stores. They’re keeping New York City alive. Why are you turning on them? I can’t believe. What is this? Jekyll and Hyde. Were those two people? No, no, it’s the same guy. Because the reality of your open border, sanctuary city garbage has come to roost.
