In Saturday’s primary, South Carolina Republican voters decisively rejected former Gov. Nikki Haley’s arguments about Trump’s age and electability. Instead, they overwhelmingly supported former President Donald Trump, who secured an easy victory. Trump outperformed Haley by a staggering 40-point margin. Key issues in this decision included border security and Trump’s perceived ability to manage the economy. (February 26, 2024)
