Rep. James Comer Exposed Twitter’s Hypocrisy When Censoring Content
Republican Rep. James Comer grilled a former Twitter executive who called Trump and conservatives ‘Nazis’.
GALLAGHER: This Congressman Comer from Kentucky. I appreciate this guy. He called these Twitter executives out yesterday pointing out that one of them literally called people in the White House ‘Nazis’.
COMER: In reality, the Twitter executives were hostile towards conservatives and biased towards anyone who opposed their points of view. For example, Mr. Roth, did you write this Tweet?
ROTH: I regret the language that I used in some of my former Tweets, but, yes, I did post that.
COMER: I will read the tweet so its in the record. Yes, that person in the pink hat is clearly a bigger threat to your brand of feminism than actual Nazis in the White House. Mr. Roth, do you think all conservatives are Nazis?
ROTH: Certainly not, sir.
COMER: What about the people who worked in the Trump admin?
ROTH: Certainly not.
COMER: Did Ms Gadde or anyone else ever tell you to take down that tweet?
ROTH: No, Twitter did not have practice of restricting employees sharing personal viewpoints on the service.
GALLAGHER: Twitter didn’t have a policy restricting us, but we sure as hell restricted you. We sure took you down if you had an opinion about an election, You are done. This is infuriating. It is sickening. Twitter pushed the Russia collusion lie, pushed Joe over the finish line. Believe me, you can stand from the highest mountain top. When someone says was there election interference. Hell yes. You better believe there was election interference. I am glad their policy was you can call Trump a Nazi, but we can’t say we think there were shenanigans in the 2020 election. Got it. Heads better roll over this.
