Arizona Sen. Kyrsten Sinema announced that she has registered as an independent and has left the Democrat party.

GALLAGHER: She is no Bernie Sanders and she is kind of tired I think of the Bernie Sanders radicalism in the Democrat party. That is the point. Here she was telling CNN why she is leaving the Democrat party. Now, I know it doesn’t change the co-chairmanship stuff and she’ll likely caucus with Democrats, but maybe not always. Make no mistake. This is a blow to the Democrats and the Biden White House.

SINEMA: I’ve registered as an Arizona independent. Many might be surprised by this but I think it makes a lot of sense. A growing number of Arizonans and people like me feel like we don’t fit neatly into one partys box or the other. Like many across the state and the nation, I have decided to leave that partisan process and focus on the work that I think matters to Arizona and to our country which is solving problems and getting things done.

GALLAGHER: That is incredible because Joe Manchin might just be pressured to follow suit.
