Why is the Left so desperate to portray Ron DeSantis as a racist the week he is expected to announce his presidential bid?

GALLAGHER: A lot of religious broadcasters here at the National Religious Broadcaster convention are talking about the NAACP travel advisory. This is a big deal. If you rely on the NAACP for some clarity, leadership, guidance for America’s Black community. Here is the NAACP President of Fort Lauderdale, Marsha Ellison.

ELLISON: Well, the fact that African Americans certainly are dying, that our history is being erased, and that we are shown to have little value is not a stunt to us. The fight for our very lives is obviously at the top of the agenda. And so what we want to do is, with this NAACP advisory, is to advise anyone who’s traveling to Florida or who is even thinking about it to know about the hostile and racist policies that have been put into place by Gov. DeSantis and his supporters. So it’s important to know that, because as you know, in a few days there will be an important announcement that he is seeking a higher office. So the question is, do you want these policies in your state? Do you want anti-peaceful protests in your state? Do you want anti-voting laws that are on the books? Do you want the erasure of black history to be a thing that happens across the United States? Do you want your history erased? So that’s what it’s really about.

GALLAGHER: That is opposite world right there because that is literally what it is not about. What it is about is a political stunt designed to hurt Ron DeSantis whose announcing this week that he is running for President.
