The NAACP is openly warning that Black people are not welcome in the state of Florida, but that is just absurd.

GALLAGHER: The NAACP issued an advisory. In response to what they believe is Gov. DeSantis’ aggressive attempt to erase Black history. Only in the delusional looney Left’s world is an effort to remove a curriculum that involves teaching impressionable children that America is a filthy, wretched, racist place. Only in the NAACP’s world is that an effort to erase Black history which tells you everything you need to know about how the NAACP thinks about the United States. We’ve had lots of awful chapters in American history when it applies to race, but Critical race theory teaches kids to hate America. Gov. DeSantis and the Florida legislature. Don’t forget he doesn’t do it without the elected representatives all throughout Florida. He isn’t a King. The legislature and the governor believe it is wrong to teach children to hate the country. Tourists should understand that Florida is openly hostile towards African Americans said the travel advisory from the NAACP. Now I can be a smart Alec and I can say. Hey don’t threaten me with a good time. Stay out. We don’t want lefties coming to Florida anyway. Believe me. Plenty of people are saying that on social media. They are saying mission accomplished. No problem. Stay out. We have enough lefties as it is in the sunshine state. It does show you, the crap they are going to pull on Ron DeSantis. CAMPOS-DUFFY: The NAACP is now issuing a travel warning in Florida, claiming the state has become hostile to black Americans under DeSantis’ leadership. So, you live in the state of Florida. Does it feel like a Democrat state in the Deep South in the 1880s, 1850s? What does it feel like for you as a black man in Florida?

SMITH: Well, I’ll tell you something, Rachel. If it seems like I’m a little frazzled, it’s because I had to go through a Klan rally in order to get here. (Laughter) That’s absolutely not true. This is the most base-level obvious leftist Democrat machinations about this. Look, Ron DeSantis is the governor of Florida who’s done a very good job and, by the way, won reelection by 20 points. He’s widely seen as somebody that is a credible contender for the Republican Party nomination here in 2024, so that means that the arms of the left when it comes to the NAACP and a whole lot of people like that are basically going to be activated not only against Ron DeSantis, but to also create this fiction that Florida is a place to live that is somehow hostile to African-Americans or gays or whoever, right? It’s absolutely not true. I lived in the great state of Florida for the last three years. As a Covid refugee, I came from New York. So, this is all false. And you will see a lot more of this coming, particularly directed at DeSantis, as we move closer into 2024.
