Trump Calls Out The Republicans Who Won’t Support Impeaching Biden
Trump pointed out at his Pennsylvania rally that there are some Republicans who are not fully behind impeaching Joe Biden.
GALLAGHER: Trump is right. At his rally in Erie, PA on Saturday, he asked the question. Why don’t Republicans fight?
TRUMP: But the biggest complaint that I get is that the Republicans find out this information and then they do nothing about it! They don’t do anything about it! “It all dies. You know, they die. The radical lunatic Democrats, they impeach me, they indict me, they rig our elections. And the Republicans just don’t fight the way they’re good people, but they don’t fight the way they’re supposed to fight. The others are dirty, sick players, and the Republicans are very high class. They’ve got to be a little bit lower class. Any Republican that doesn’t act on Democrat fraud should be immediately primaried and get out.
GALLAGHER: Is he right? Should Republicans be demanding the impeachment? Sometimes I look at the squishy RINOs to get some clarity. Nancy Mace is one and she pushed back on Fox News over impeaching Joe Biden.
MACE: Well, I do believe we are at this point — an inquiry is different from an impeachment vote and is another tool in the toolbox, but I will tell you, every time we walk the plank, we are putting moderate members, members that won Biden-won districts, we are putting those seats at risk for 2024- We are putting the majority at risk. It’s not just impeachment that does that, other issues like abortion, etc., also put those members on the plank.
GALLAGHER: Let’s take a look at Ben Domenech. I respect his voice a lot. Here is what he said about the possible impeachment proceedings against Biden.
DOMENECH: One thing that I do want to point out here is, we are underestimating the amount of support for impeaching the president that doesn’t come from the far conservative wing of the party. In fact, it is becoming a mainstream Republican issue, meaning that the majority of the party, we’re at a tipping point now, is in favor of impeaching Joe Biden. Joe Biden is the least popular president at this point in his presidency going back for 50 years, other than Jimmy Carter. He’s not a popular president. He does not have the support of the American people. And in fact, if you poll in the question, the vast majority of the American people, including independents, are actually convinced that he’s done unethical behavior that may rise to the criminal. So, from my perspective, this is something that we’re — you know, McCarthy is basically responding not to the far right in his coalition. He’s responding to the center.
