Will You Continue To Support Donald Trump For The 2024 Presidential Race?
Mike talks to a caller about how he feels about Donald Trump running for President again.
GALLAGHER: Matt is in Jacksonville, Florida. Hi Matt.
CALLER MATT: I agree with you on pretty much your whole standpoint with Trump and America. What he has done is amazing. If I could install him right now, I absolutely would. He would be the best guy. It is not about that. The problem is the conservative movement needs a torch carrier. We need to win. You got to win. It doesn’t matter how much I like Trump. I don’t see him winning. There is no way he is going to win. There is no way.
GALLAGHER: I have friends who say the same thing that it is about electability. Of course that is what they hope you’ll say. That is what the beast wants you to say. I am not saying that to minimize your opinion on this. Listen you could be right. Well let me put it this way. You are right. We need to win in 2024. It is one thing to sit around and say we think he’d be the best guy for the job. Larry Elder might be the best guy for the job. Larry Elder is talking about running, but hes got to win. You have to say who has the best chance of beating back the universe of the Left? I get that. I want to remind you as people are looking at the list of accomplishments from the Trump presidency. Matt we heard that in 2015 and 2016 too, that he can’t win.
CALLER MATT: There is a difference. There is a big difference.
GALLAGHER: What is the difference.
CALLER MATT: In 2016, the media had not had years and years and years to build a pile up on Trump and really hurt the minds of the middle of America that has to vote for him and that is why he got in in 2016. Nobody on either side really had a long time to build up a pile of trash on him. That is why I think others have a better opportunity coming up here. I think they made Trump un-electable. I think he loses 3-7 points in the next election. This previous election in November was really an indicator. We should’ve won in a landslide and somehow with inflation as bad as it is, Biden just gets a pass somehow.
GALLAGHER: Well there is a lot of theories about it. We can spend all day theorizing about what happened in 2022.
