Bill O’ Reilly Shares His Theory Behind Trump Participating In CNN’s Town Hall
Conservative commentator, journalist, author, and television host Bill O’ Reilly shares that Trump might be doing the CNN town hall to stick it to Fox News.
GALLAGHER: Last night Bill O’ Reilly appeared with Chris Cuomo on NewsNation. Next week is going to be a big political week. Trump is going to appear on CNN. CNN is hosting a town hall with Former President Trump in New Hampshire. That is pretty epic news. I smell a rat. I think it is a setup. There is no way CNN is suddenly playing nice with Donald Trump. They hate him. Last night, Bill O’Reilly had a pretty unique take, his own no spin zone with Chris Cuomo on NewsNation about why Trump is doing this.
O’REILLY: Okay, the left-wing zombies who usually watch, all seven of them, will be overwhelmed by people who would want to see a town hall moderated by a professional journalist — Kaitlan Collins, right, that’s her name?”
CUOMO: “Yes.”
O’REILLY: “Kaitlan Collins, she’s professional, right?”
CUOMO: “She is.”
O’REILLY: Okay, so why not do it? But the totalitarians on the left, ‘Oh, no! You can’t put the leading candidate in the Republican Party on television. Oh, no! You can’t do that!’ So, CNN is smart to do it, and Trump, who I believe engineered this, is also smart because he’s sticking it to the Fox News Channel, which got him elected in 2016 when I was there, but the management, the ownership now wants DeSantis. And Trump is saying, ‘Oh, you guys are real grateful. I built you all these ratings and now you’re going for DeSantis.’ So Trump want to stick it to FNC, and what better way than to go prime time on CNN?
GALLAGHER: Wouldn’t that be amazing if this really was the ultimate way that Trump is sticking it to Fox News?
