Charlie Kirk was treated horrifically by the staff at UC Davis and the media, but the Sacramento Bee apologized for their defamatory article against him.

GALLAGHER: After this column at the Sacramento bee appeared Charlie promptly issued a statement. This is defamation and libel we will sue unless it is corrected. Left wing rags like the Sacramento Bee are allowed to platform lies against conservatives and get away with it. Time for Lawfare, time for Lawfare well the next day the Sacramento bee scrubbed the line from the column and included a lengthy apology. They wrote an earlier version of this column included a statement that Charlie Kirk had called for the lynching of trans people. The basis for this accusation is a video clip. Some trans advocate on social media extrapolated from Kirk’s comments that he called for trans people to be lynched. An accusation that The Sacramento bee repeated, but a review of the video shows that Kirk never advocated for trans people to be lynched. In fact, he strongly denies the accusation, the Bee regrets its comments and we apologize for any misunderstanding this earlier version may have caused. The the only reason they apologize was because Charlie was going to sue into oblivion. They didn’t apologize because it was the right thing to do because they are corrupt. The mainstream media in America is a lost cause, but I’m encouraged that Charlie’s prompt val of a lawsuit brought the Sacramento bee to its knees in this regard in this issue, and I think everybody ought to follow suit. Now admittedly Charlie has a powerful platform, Charlie has resources and assets. Most people don’t have those assets but the truth of the matter is anybody can sue. You’ll find a lawyer who will represent you if you’re steered this way, and they’ll represent you based on a contingency fee, and take a percentage of any damages that you wind up getting. Charlie is right. It is time for law fare. When these despicable institutions smear, conservatives this way and say horrific things. I guarantee you plenty of people who believe that Charlie Kirk is a vicious, evil little guy who wants to murder transgender individuals based on that smear. That was the whole point. The apology won’t make it go away. They know the damage was done. I hope Charlie still sues them. I really do. Maybe he can’t. Maybe legally once an apology has been issued you know it is removed and I don’t know how that works exactly but he should sue every last one of them. He ought to sue the activist on social media, who repeated the lie he ought to sue the Sacramento bee, UC Davis chancellor who smeared Charlie viciously right before Charlie’s speech at UC Davis which frankly lead to the violence that occurred there. Two arrests. Are you kidding me? Did you see how many windows they broke out? That was more than two people. How do you not arrest, every single person who did all the damage on the destruction on the campus of UC Davis, simply because they wanted to shut down a speech from the conservative speaker like Charlie Kirk? Of course there is only two arrests. How many arrests did we have at the capital on January 6? A thousand, 1200, every last one of those folks got arrested. Only two people at the UC Davis riots over Charlie Kirk, and Turning Point USA speech. That chancellor should be out. He should be fired. He won’t be which is why Charlie ought to sue him. That clown stood up and shot a video hours before Charlie’s appearance condemning Charlie smearing him. Calling his speech loathsome and hateful and dangerous. In fact put Charlie on notice, if there is violence it’s probably Charlie Kirk’s fault. That’s how warped the UC Chancellor is that the violent rioters are Charlie’s fault because he was invited to give a speech. What an absolute disgrace that is for the UC Davis community. Nobody should ever send their kid to college there. Why would you? Why would you let your child be in that touch toxic atmosphere with a bunch of violent lunatics? Violent lunatics who are only interested in shutting down speech they happen to disagree with. Here was Charlie last night on Fox News channel with Jesse Watters.
KIRK: The issue here, the core issue, is that these college campuses, we know they have become radical, we know they are no longer places of free speech, but a speaker on American college campus, if you want to come and talk about free speech and American values, it should not be a danger to fellow students or to the speaker. Over 100 police officers were there last night. That mob was there to try to do violence, and the chancellor who has a duty to tell the truth and represent the students did the exact opposite. And it’s really too bad, it’s tragic, Jesse, that when you go to a college campus, you have to experience a quasi-military war zone. This is not just at UC Davis. We are seeing it, as you saw, on Stanford in a separate way, but with that kind of radicalism. I’m glad last night the event went off peacefully, despite all the damage, vandalism and spray-painting. And I say that only because someone could have gotten hurt. Somebody could have gotten hospitalized because of the lies of the media. And yes, we are considering legal action because they deliberately and materially lied about my statements.
