The abortion issues costs Republicans at the ballot box and this new bill in South Carolina is an example of the GOP shooting themselves in the foot.

GALLAGHER: There is the political component to this and there is the humanity component to this. I will make the argument all day that if you kill a pregnant mother, you will be charged with two homicides. I understand the mindset that led these 21 South Carolina Republican legislators to consider a piece of legislation like this. Politically this is an abomination. It is an example of the Republican party stepping in it time and time and time again. Over and over again we shoot ourselves in the foot. We rip victory out of the jaws of defeat. The Democrats worship, are enamored and celebrate abortion. It is evil. What they do on this issue is often evil. Lets not blow it by coming up with crap like this. Idiotic. Lots of text messages pouring in on MyPillow text line. Here is from New Jersey. The abortion issue is exactly what the Democrats will run with and win. The GOP does themselves in every time. This is a ridiculous law South Carolina is considering. It would also signal a call to arms for the Left to turn out and win every election going forward. It wouldn’t solve the abortion problem and it would cause even more resistance. Well I don’t know that it doesn’t solve abortion problem. There would be a lot of lives saved. See thats the problem. Overturning Roe v. Wade probably cost us the Senate. It kept us from having the red wave, but there are a lot of lives saved. There are a lot of little babies being brought into the world that would’ve been terminated. Doesn’t that count for something. I understand it is a tough issue but whether we like it or not, for many people, abortion is a hair on fire, hysterical issue. I knew the moment the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, that it would hurt us in the midterms. It did, but it wasn’t our fault. It actually was an achievement. It was a solid ruling from the Supreme Court after years of a really bad ruling. Roe v. Wade. The timing couldn’t have been worse.
