Dr. Anthony Fauci claimed this week that we are still in the middle of the Covid pandemic despite Biden’s remarks that the pandemic is over.

GALLAGHER: Here was Fauci on TV and I am just fed up. Remember a couple months ago, Biden himself said the pandemic is over. I guess people tried to walk it back. To this day, people like Anthony Fauci are still trying to walk it back.

FAUCI: Here we are, going into the third year of it, and we are still in the middle of a pandemic with the numbers that you just showed.

GALLAGHER: I mean they just can’t let this go. When this started, I tried to give Fauci the benefit of the doubt. Well he is a doctor, a health professional, a scientist. It is his job. If he had his way, we’d all be locked away in our home for the rest of the lives. Then nobody would get the virus. Nobody would get the flu. Nobody would get anything because you’d be in your home I guess. You’d just die of depression because you’d kill yourself as many people have. I am not making light of that. Kids’ education path have been completely upended. And the Left loves this guy. Here is Andrea Mitchell with Fauci yesterday making Fauci out to be this big victim.

MITCHELL: Your life has been threatened, even death threats against your family, your wife, your children. What is it like to live under that, when you know that what you’re trying to do is advance public health and save lives?

FAUCI: Yeah. Well, it seems rather paradoxical that that’s the situation. I mean, obviously, it is not at all pleasant. Yes, my life is — is being threatened. The thing that bothers me most is the preposterous nature of harassing and threatening my wife and my children. I mean, what kind of a coward does that, to threaten and harass the children, the innocent children of a person who’s a health official and the wife of a person? I mean, to what end? It really just is a manifestation of how bizarre our society has gotten.

GALLAGHER: Bizarre is correct. I would agree that our society has gotten bizarre, but not for the reasons Fauci thinks it is.
