Joe Biden’s Christmas Address Was Unsurprisingly Disappointing
Joe Biden delivered a Christmas address where he refused to answer any questions on Ukraine or our border crisis afterwards.
GALLAGHER: Biden’s Christmas address. This is fascinating. Listen to the great unifier, yesterday. President Biden with a Christmas address to the American people. The people he believes he can unify.
Biden: Our politics has gotten so angry, so mean, so partisan. And too often we see each other as enemies, not as neighbors; as Democrats or Republicans, not as fellow Americans. We’ve become too divided. But as tough as these times have been, if we look a little closer, we see bright spots all across the country: the strength, the determination, the resilience that’s long defined America. We’re surely making progress, things are getting better. Covid lon- — no longer controls our lives. Our kids are back in school. People are back to work. In fact, more people are working than ever before.
GALLAGHER: There we go. Everything is fine. Nothing to see here. Border is fine. Crime. No problem. Economy is under control and he is praying for a Christmas miracle that we will all be united rather than be divided. Well Mr. President, stop calling us semi fascists and maybe that will be a step in the right direction. Here was the best part. After his Christmas address, the reporters immediately pounced on him asking about Ukraine, the southern border, the economy. Here is what he did.
Biden: God bless you all. And may God protect our troops. Thank you.
Reporter: Mr. President, do you think the southern border is secure?
Reporter 2: “Sir, do you believe 2023 will be the year the war ends in Ukraine?
GALLAGHER: Hello? Anyone? Bueller? Mr. President? What about the border? Are you going to go to the border? Wow.
