Senate Republicans Betray American People By Voting For Massive Omnibus Spending Bill
There were eighteen Senate Republicans who voted to pass this $1.7 trillion dollar omnibus spending bill which doesn’t put America first.
GALLAGHER: A huge contingent of Republican senators stabbed the American people in the back with voting to pass this goofy $1.7 trillion omnibus package. Now most of the Republicans who voted for this Biden Christmas wish list are the usual suspects. Mitt Romney, Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski, but Tom Cotton? Tom Cotton, really? 18 Republican senators. Bonchie wrote a great piece at RedState who said the current Republican party is making it really hard to care whether we win or lose. During election time, we all rally around them. This is what I want to speak to. I would get infuriated when someone would tell me why bother to vote. I would get mad. I would get infuriated and I still understand that is a losing proposition. It is all we got, but I want you to understand that I appreciate how you feel when I look at this list of Republican senators who rubber stamped what Biden and Schumer and the Democrats wanted. When it is election time Bonchie writes at RedState, we all rally around them doing our best to pull them across the finish line, yet when push comes to shove, they can’t even be counted on to oppose massive omnibus packages full of left-wing priorities. They beg for power and then refuse to exercise it to protect the very people who elected them. Bonchie asks, why should I care if the GOP controls the Senate at this point? It obviously doesn’t matter either way especially when Lindsey Graham is rubber stamping Biden’s judges anyway. What makes this omnibus episode even more infuriating, I would add disgusting, is that it was so unnecessary. Republicans are days away from taking control of the House. The whole point of winning the last election was to regain control of the purse strings and Mitch McConnell threw all that away.
