Kevin McCarthy Responds To The White House Keeping Tabs On Twitter

Kevin McCarthy Goes Off On The Biden Administration’s Admission That They Will Keep An Eye On Elon Musk’s Twitter

GALLAGHER: Kevin McCarthy is fired up. This guy ought to be Speaker of the House. I guess there is some internal bickering and fighting within the GOP over who should be the next Speaker now that Republicans have control of the House. Listen to what he said to Peter Doocy yesterday about the White House deciding to keep tabs on Twitter. Let this register with you. The White House is on record as saying that they will keep tabs, keep an eye on Elon Musk and Twitter now that Elon Musk owns Twitter. Private company. That is what everybody keeps telling me. Private company can do what it wants. Well if a private company can censor and shut down conservative speech. Why can’t that same private company under new ownership allow conservative speech, allow dissent, allow people to question Covid or election integrity, allow people to say what they feel? Well the White House is not happy. Leftists are not happy with Elon Musk and they are doing everything they can to shut him down. I want you to hear Kevin McCarthy responding to the White House saying they are going to keep tabs on Twitter.

MCCARTHY: That is offensive to me. Government’s gonna go after someone who wants to have free speech? What do they have to look at Twitter about? Do they want to go more after the American public about whether they can have an opinion on something? I think the American public have spoken on this. I think our First Amendment stands up and I think they should stop picking on Elon Musk. You know, Elon Musk has succeeded in many places. I’d bet on him more than government going after you. And I one thing I would say when we talked about accountability, we will no longer let government go after people simply because of their political views.

GALLAGHER: Kevin McCarthy would be a great House Speaker and I hope he gets elected. Everybody and anybody can be criticized. I try not to spend a lot of time in the weeds on Republican internal squabbles, but I’ve met with Kevin McCarthy before. He is a terrific Congressman and would be a terrific Speaker of the House. He has an ability to exhibit clarity that the Republican party desperately needs right now. Apple better be careful going after Twitter and the crap that they are pulling. You need to be very aware of the garbage these folks are trying to pull. Apple CEO Tim Cook has scheduled at least one meeting with incoming Republican leaders in the House this week. Cook is going to meet with Congressman Jim Jordan. Wouldn’t you love to be a fly on that wall? How would you like to witness a meeting between Jim Jordan, the Ohio Congressman and the CEO of Apple? Oh my gosh. Darrell Issa is going to be in on this. Cathy McMorris Rodgers. Listen, this is the joy, the beauty, the glory of the House majority going to the Republican party thanks to you.
