Mike’s Caller Shares His Perspective On The Five Cops Who Beat Tyre Nichols To Death
Mike’s caller shares his perspective on the 5 cops who beat Tyre Nichols death and how none of the cops stopped each other.
GALLAGHER: Jonathan is in Columbus, Ohio.
CALLER JONATHAN: When the prosecutor was talking to the police officers, he said all 5 of them were going to be charged with that crime. Well all 5 didn’t beat this guy, but they were the ones that were standing around so they were complicit in his death. If you go back in time and look at some of the other deaths in the country, there is a lot of complicity going around with the cops and this is one of the reasons people were talking about defund the police. They are concerned about the cops, the so called good cops that are standing around and not doing their job. Watching their buddies doing their thing, beating people, choking them out and what not.
GALLAGHER: And the other cops not lifting a finger to do anything about it.
CALLER JONATHAN: Not lifting a finger, yeah.
GALLAGHER: I get that. Now here is the problem. 2nd degree murder. They are going to have a hard time getting that to stick to all 5 of them.
