Mike talks to a caller who shares his perspective on why he believes DeSantis attacking Trump right now isn’t the absolute worst thing.

GALLAGHER: Mark in Saint Augustine Florida, hi Mark how are you?

CALLER MARK: Great. Let me just start by saying, I am a huge fan of your show. I listen to you all the time and I really really appreciate everything you do every day.

GALLAGHER: Very nice of you. Thank you.

CALLER MARK: If you would, just let me disagree a little bit here and then I’ll shut up. Ok first of all we don’t really know exactly what he said in the interview. Part of the Left and the New York Times. Part of their plan is to divide all of us. Number two the polls. We don’t know if those are accurate. We have no idea if it comes down to Trump versus the DeSantis in the polls. A lot those votes going to Pence and all these other people will likely go to DeSantis in my opinion.

GALLAGHER: Well to your point, it is very important to remember that DeSantis hasn’t declared so the poll is a little skewed. Trump is a declared candidate. DeSantis is not. Continue.

CALLER MARK: Now, my main point, I agree that the timing isn’t great for DeSantis to do this, but if someone is constantly attacking you. Let me say this. If Trump wins. I want DeSantis to win the nomination. If Trump wins , 100% I will vote Trump. But, if someone is constantly attacking you like Trump has attacked DeSantis basically saying he has hung out with minors and drinking with young men. If the guy gets arrested, then DeSantis says yes it’s BS. He should not be arrested. He is totally against Bragg, but I can understand why he wouldn’t say great things about the guy.

GALLAGHER: Not throw him a lifeline. I get it. You and I agree. The timing is lousy because we need to appreciate the magnitude of putting a political opponent in jail. This isn’t about Trump. This is about the Democrats trying to incarcerate somebody as a way to stop him from running for President. I mean, I don’t mean this rhetorically, do you know how big this is?

CALLER MARK: Yes, and I think I am appalled by it.

GALLAGHER: We should be appalled and Ron DeSantis should be appalled as well. I trust he is. All Im saying he should keep his powder dry right now. Hold off on the attacks and criticism until after we get through this nightmare of watching the 45th President of the United States quite possibly being fingerprinted, taking a mugshot, and being arrested. This is unbelievable this is happening in America.
