Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis decided to go after Trump in a new interview, but isn’t the timing horrible for this?

MORGAN: What is your favorite nickname that Trump’s given you so far? Is it Ron DeSanctimonious or Meatball Ron?

DESANTIS: I don’t know how to spell ‘DeSanctimonious,’ I don’t really know what it means, but you know, I kind of like it. It’s long. It’s got a lot of vowels. I mean, we’d go with that. That’s fine. You know, you can call me whatever you want. I mean, just as long as you, you know, also call me a winner.

GALLAGHER: It’ll be fascinating to see how critical Ron DeSantis is. According to the New York Post DeSantis rips Trumps character and chaotic leadership style. What he said about Trump will ignite a fire storm in the Republican party. For months DeSantis has said nothing as Trump has escalated his verbal attacks on DeSantis. Piers Morgan said Trump’s mood is likely to deteriorate when he hears what DeSantis says about him in our lengthy interview at the governors mansion in Tallahassee. It was clear that the governor has had enough of Trump’s constant baiting and felt ready to take him on in what can end up being a ferocious battle for the White House. DeSantis slammed Trump’s chaotic, self obsessed, divisive management style. “I think in terms of my approach to leadership I get personal and government who have the agenda of the people and share our agenda. You bring your own agenda and you’re gone. We’re not gonna have that. The way we run the government I think is no daily drama, focus on the big picture, and put points on the board. I think that is something that’s very important. Timing is everything. Optics are important and to trash Trump when he is on the verge of possibly being fingerprinted and a mug shot taken is really really a bad look.
