Shouldn’t The Trump Indictments Be Front & Center At The First GOP Debate?
Do you agree with Mike that the Trump indictments should absolutely be heavily discussed at the first Republican debate?
GALLAGHER: The Republican candidates better be all about the Trump indictments Wednesday night. That is why Trump needs to be there. I hope he shows up. I don’t know if he will or not. Here was a Republican strategist, David Urban, on CNN last night advising Trump not to show up at the debate Wednesday night in Milwaukee.
URBAN: When you’re 39 points ahead, as he is in this most pacic Quinnipiac poll, I think it would be foolish to show up. And I think you will see some counter programming. There are rumors that he will do some sort of event with perhaps Tucker Carlson on Twitter which would be quite a return, right? Former President Trump returning to the platform which booted him off and kind of a grand fashion on the night of the debate would be something to see.
GALLAGHER: You know what happens if he doesn’t show up Wednesday night? The establishment will get its wish. There won’t be a lot of time spent on the Trump indictments. It will be business as usual so that the people who want to turn the page on Trump will get their wish. Do you agree with me that the indictments of Trump should be front and center at Wednesday night’s debate in Milwaukee?
