We Cannot Turn Our Backs On Donald Trump
Some Republicans are kicking Donald Trump to the curb, but Mike doesn’t plan to do that.
GALLAGHER: George Pataki did a great job as governor of New York, but he has turned on Trump as well. Mike Pence has turned on him. It is 2016 all over again. Here we go again. Here was the former governor of New York George Pataki talking to Fox’s Eric Shawn yesterday.
PATAKI: The Republican Party is alive and doing well. To move forward, what we have to do is contrast our ideas with the people support with the democratic support which the people reject. The problem is Donald Trump. The sooner he goes away the quicker we will have the new Republican Party we always talk about.
GALLAGHER: Wishful thinking governor. Keep yapping and urinating on millions and millions of Americans. They just don’t get it. They want this narrative and it is the same narrative they have tried to embrace since 2016. Here is Pataki going on about Trump tearing apart the party.
PATAKI: This country has been mis-governed by elites. Donald Trump was the first to speak out against that. He has had his time. Now he is tearing apart the Republican Party. Since the election, who does he go after? Not Schumer, Not Biden, Not Pelosi. He goes after DeSantis and Youngkin. That has got to stop. The only way that it stops as if we do not talk about him anymore. We talk about open borders. We talk about our energy industry being devastated. We talk about inflation. The problems we have all across this country with getting young people to work because of the trillions in giveaways and we win. We talk about Donald Trump and we lose.
GALLAGHER: Right because Trump never talks about those problems. Right George? Trump never talked about open borders. He didn’t know there was a problem at the border, did he? He never knew what to do about the economy. Did he? I am so sick. My friend Mark Davis has a philosophy. Let the game come to us. We will see how the next 2-3 days unfold and what Trump announces. It is likely he is going to run. He is going to announce he is going to run. I am sure with the Democrats maintaining control of the Senate with the Georgia race becoming less important and lets face it. It is. It would be nice if Herschel won. It’d be nice to keep it 50-50. Its harder to govern with a 50-50 tie with Kamala Harris being the tie breaker than it is 51-49 where they don’t even need Vice President Cackles to break the tie. In the scheme of things, it is not do or die. Now I think that if Trump had any reservations about making the announcement tomorrow night, those reservations are going to be gone. For George Pataki to pretend that if it wasn’t for Donald Trump, we don’t have a big movement in this country of putting America First. There is no MAGA. There is no level of awareness over Democrat corruption to the extent we have it now without Donald Trump. I am not going to do it. If you are looking to me to kick Donald Trump to the curb. It is not going to happen.
